Interning at Intrinsic
Learning Beyond the Classroom
I’ve learned so much more from this job than I have in three years of school. They teach you the fundamentals in class, but working alongside experienced professionals here, I’ve gained a much better grasp of the nuances of the accounting and finance industry. It’s cool to be in an environment where everyone is pushing you to do better. The focus on quality and teamwork makes every day rewarding.

The hands-on technical skills I’ve learned here are more than what I’ve gained from previous internships at larger firms. The week-long Excel training was invaluable. Everyone at Intrinsic, regardless of their position, took time out of their busy schedules to walk us through how everything works and how different tasks connect. It really shows how dedicated Intrinsic is to providing comprehensive training.

Building Confidence Through Hands-On Experience
Everyone here is so kind and supportive. Since this is my first internship, I came in feeling a bit unsure about my abilities, but this summer has given me confidence and practical experience. There’s a lot of hands on-work versus just sitting in a classroom. You can tell everyone is rooting for you, and it’s been incredible to work on real projects and sit in on client calls.

We’re given real client work every day, and it’s genuinely engaging. Other places might leave interns without enough to do, but here, we’re already treated like part of the company. There’s always someone to help you out, answer questions, and you’re encouraged to be curious and creative.

Building Bonds in a Supportive Environment
The culture at Intrinsic is one of the best parts of the job. It’s a young, vibrant group, and everyone gets along well. I’m never afraid to ask anyone for help, even the senior leaders. The social events and firmwide gatherings are fantastic opportunities to connect outside of work.

Our intern class is a tight-knit group, which has made work a lot of fun this summer. I don’t just get to wake up and go to work; I get to wake up and go to work with people I like being around, people who have become friends. It’s fun seeing what we all bring to the table and learning from each other.

Personalized from the Start
When I was interviewing with several firms last fall, Intrinsic stood out because of how personalized the process was. My interviewers took time to ask specific questions about my background that were really tailored to me, and it was clear they cared. The interview felt genuine, not just a checkbox exercise.
