Alex Hurst

Alex Hurst is the founder and Managing Partner of Palatine Capital Partners, a real estate principal investment firm. Alex is responsible for overseeing all investment activity and the strategic direction at Palatine. Prior to founding Palatine, Mr. Hurst was a vice president in the real estate group at Avenue Capital Group. Before Avenue, Mr. Hurst worked in the real estate group at Perry Capital and began his real estate career at Tishman, Speyer in their executive rotation program.

Prior to working in real estate, Mr. Hurst was a founding member of mondus.com, an internet business headquartered in Europe. There, Mr. Hurst served in a variety of capacities, including as head of strategy and director of investments. Mondus.com was partially sold in 2000 to SEAT.IT, an Italian media conglomerate, for $150 million.

Mr. Hurst graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science in 2001. Mr. Hurst serves on the Board of Trustees for the Hotchkiss School and is also a member of the endowment’s Investment Committee, the Board of Trustees of the Pérez Art Museum Miami, and previously served on the Board of Overseers of University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design.
