Tim Frehner

Tim is a Managing Director within the firm and operates within the Valuation practice at Intrinsic. He is responsible for business development, staff development, client relationship management, project management, and execution across the firm’s private equity clients and their portfolio companies.

Tim has over 25 years of valuation experience. During Tim’s career, he has completed engagements valuing businesses, equity securities, derivatives and intangible assets for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, tax, gift and estate, portfolio valuations, litigation and dispute resolution, management planning, and financial opinions.

Before teaming with Intrinsic, Tim was a Principal in Grant Thornton’s San Francisco valuation practice; a Managing Director in KPMG’s Silicon Valley Economic and Valuation Services practice; a Director in Duff & Phelps’ Silicon Valley Corporate Value Consulting Practice; and a Vice President in PricewaterhouseCoopers Silicon Valley valuation practice.

Tim received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He is an accredited senior appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers and is accredited in business valuation with the AICPA.
