Intrinsic has extensive experience in healthcare services and healthcare technology and is seeking to grow its healthcare focused team at the Vice President and Director level. Our process and approach to analyzing the Quality of Revenue of healthcare organizations has proved to be amongst the best in the market. We have completed over 55 due diligence engagements in this space since 2020. 

As a majority employee-owned firm, we are wired to think like investors and deliver timely and critical intelligence to deal teams. Our process includes thoughtful analysis of earnings quality and an identification of value-drivers, high-risk areas, unrecognized liabilities, and potential deal-breakers. As part of this exercise, we perform a rigorous assessment of financial statements, patient billing and collection data, transaction-level details, and other financial information. We perfect our perspective through continuous dialogue with key management and are thoughtful stewards of relationships you with management and ownership teams.

The specific duties of a Vice President include the following:

  • Lead multiple buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects, primarily for private equity clients and middle market companies leveraging deal experience and expertise to solve complex problems on engagements
  • Perform rigorous analysis of financial and operational data of target companies, and lead quality of earnings, quality of revenue, net working capital, debt and debt-like analyses and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Communicate key findings and conclusions to clients
  • Apprentice deal team members (Senior Associate, Associate) by working through complex deal issues and adjustments collaboratively
  • Participate in scoping and engagement letter preparation for new projects
  • Serve as Advisor to junior team members providing career coaching and professional development regularly as well as quarterly and annual reviews

The Director will ideally have the following experience and characteristics:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience at an accounting or consulting firm (ideally experience within a transaction advisory services practice at a Big 4 accounting firm or national consulting firm) within the healthcare industry
  • Active CPA license or equivalent certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to distill complex data into meaningful insights

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Naturally driven and intellectually curious
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment
